| From Kyong-ju take the 4th
road and drive for 26km. towards Gampo on the east coast. On that road you
can find the Andong three-way intersection, and that is the road leading to Golgul
Temple and Girim Temple. Follow the sign and take a left. Go about 500m, and you
can fined the Golgul Temple sign on the left hand side. Turn left and pass
through the main gate, Il Ju Gate. Proceed for 700 more meters and you can
fine the only cave temple still in use in Korea today, Golgul Temple, along with
the main stone Buddha carved in relief on the cliff side, the Amitabha Buddha
smiling sweetly welcoming visitors for the last 1000 years. |

From the Kyong-ju inter-city bus terminal
take the number 100 bus heading towards Gampo.
Get off at the Andong three-way intersection, the entrance
for Girim and Golgul Temple, and walk for 15 minutes. |
Taxi |
From downtown Kyong-ju, it costs about 28,000 won. |
Car |
Take the Kyong-ju I.C. (exit) passing Pomundsnji Resort
Complex and proceed towards Gampo. It takes about thirty
minutes from downtown. |
Plane |
Ulsan airport 10 times a day from Seoul to Ulsan.
It takes one hour by taxi fromthe airport. |
| Pohang airport 10 times a day from
Seoul to Pohang. It takes 50 minutes by taxi from the
airport. |
